Comments: I drank this beer at a wedding reception - started the evening drinking Budweiser, then moved to Amstel Light. My rating of this beer is not too complicated. I previously rated Bud a "D" and Amstel Light tasted better than than the Budweiser I had just finished, so I rated this beer a C-. No comment on appearance or head, since I drank it from the bottle. Malt taste with a bitter metallic finish. Better than Budweiser.

Swirl the bottle and grab the sediment from the bottom. Aroma is spice, clove and banana. A little more caramel wheat taste and less banana & spice compared to the Erdinger Hefeweisen. Definitely a switch from the normal Märzen style Oktoberfest bier.

Tastes smooth & drinkable - sweet malt taste with a slight hop finish! My rating is probably too harsh - Paulaner Salvator Thomasbraeu AG has been brewing bier since 1634!
